Why not just sell the parts? For the purpose of psychological impact of having your baby that you worked so hard on being crushed. This is the most ass-backwards logic I've ever seen. First of all, it WON'T stop street racers from racing, it will only make more of them try to run away from the cops. They will gladly risk their own lives and the lives of others to protect their "baby." Second, it's literally throwing away tens of thousands of dollars that could be put to good use by enforcement and prevention. I think people who endanger others lives like that deserve punishment, but surely there's a better way of going about this? It's a dumb idea I like the idea Crush all fast cars, they're impractical and a waste of fuel.
