THE DARK CARNIVAL OF SPORTS "ENTERTAINMENT" AND THE DEATH OF CHRIS BENOIT.

What Demons drive a man to suffocate his own 7 year old son no one can fathomn.
Murdering your wife, and comitting suicide seem incomprehehensible.
Chris Benoits tale is only the tip of a horrific Iceburg.
I'll mention the untimely death of 3 men caught in the nightmare of addiction to Cocaine, Alcohol, and Steroids.
Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoits best friend died in a Minneapolis Minnesota motel room on November 13th, 2005.
An autopsy revealed that Eddie died of heart failure.
While toxicology and blood analysis revealed no trace of drugs, the doctors stated his heart failure was attributed to "past excesses".
Eddie Guerrero was a star in WWE wrestling along with his friend Chris Benoit.
Curt Hennig who wrestled under the name "Mr. Perfect" was found dead in a Tampa Florida motel room on Feb 10th, 2003.
The Medical examiner cited "Cocaine Intoxication" as the cause of his death.
Curts father attributed his death to a lethal combination of steroids and painkillers.
The bottom line of the story is you take the drugs, then the drugs take you.
Barry Bonds and numerous other athletes in legitimate sports and sports entertainment use whatever they deem necessary to perform at a high level.
They never think of how low you may go.

A drug is a drug, is a drug.
Athletes and wrestlers will do anything to keep the competitive edge.
No one is aware how devastating steroids are.
Addiction of any kind is hell.
The NFL,MLB,NBA, and WWE. nedd to institute an absolute ban.
High School football players know what "roids" their role models use.
Maybe something good will come of this.
SORRY, THIS POLL
IS NOW CLOSED.

COMMENTS:
I think it's awful that a great wrestling career had to end like this. Few will look at him the same now.

when barry Bonds does hit home run # 556 it Won't count in my book.
Babe Ruth set the record using beer and hot dogs.
Hank Aaron broke Babes record with style and grace.
Barry Bonds is a steroid using jerk.

Speaking as someone who *has* to take the damn things (albeit at greatly weakened levels in comparison to what is passed around in sports), it's about the dumbest thing a human being can do. The weak stuff I take has screwed up my entire quality of life and, barring radical advances in genetic resequencing, I'll be on them for the rest of my life, replete with headaches, a weakened immuno-response factor and a dozen other things I cna't name off the top of my head. Winning is not worth it f you can't live long enough to enjoy it, or the life you do manage to live is of lesser quality.

maxx, I agree with you entirely about Mister Bonds. Everytime I hear his name mentioned, I say aloud, "Asterix!"

I know...holy cow! That guy lost it! It's so sad. I didn't realize that Steroids could do that much damage. It's a real tragedy.

I feel there is more to this story than we currently don't know but there's no excuse for what has occurred so far...

Is it just me or did Chris Benoit look like an overgrown dwarf. I'll bet he was on growth hormones for a very long time.

Voted : No one is aware how devastating steroids are.
I know so many people that take them, and my brother in law was hospitalized by taking them. My husbands friend wanted my husband to take them and my husband said he never will, never would...
