Russia's foreign policy has become increasingly aggressive in recent months. Relationships with the USA and the E.U have deteriorated while its relationship with the UK has become openly hostile. Russia under Putin is starting to play by its own rules again, only a few weeks ago threatening to point its missiles at Europe. Perhaps more worryingly, in twenty years most of Europe will rely on Russia’s massive oil and gas resources. Is the Cold War back on, or am I being melodramatic?

Not entirely, but it's getting there. I read an article once about how Bush is 'serving up the Cold War all over again'. He seems hellbent on erasing any good Reagan ever did with the Soviets.

At least in Uncle Vlad's mind, anyway. He's old-line KGB, sees what Russia's lost since the Soviet Union's break-up, and would love to get some of that old glory back.
