The Beatles had a beautiful song, which comes to mind:

"When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be"

Suppose you have "held on" to a thing (be it a person, a place, an idea or conceptualization, etc.) for the greater part of your life, almost to the point that you don't know how to continue without it. Then you find that in order to proceed (move forward) you have to "let go." Can you do it? Is it possible? What catalyst initiates this psychic change in you?

Meditation
I find something to replace it.
I can't, it's too painful, and is usually "yanked" out of my grasp.
Drugs
Mental Health Counseling
Charity Work
Time
when the restraining order is issued
My words
I try to think of the thing as a book I have finished reading...

I'm having this problem. I just lost someone I dearly loved, and I can't stop the pain. I'm hoping time will make it hurt less.

When I'm mired in such pain, I write. I did that when I lost my Kay, and when I lost my father. mojo, it will hurt less. It may not seem so, but it will.

Sometimes it's hard to face a reality and you long for the way things were...but time and the hope of an even better tomorrow may help you as you start on that new journey "back to happiness"

Letting go and/or losses (of a person, thing and/or as stated quite will in the ballot, an idea or conceptualization)enchances ones own spirital plane, it only causes pain to some peoples' physical being, it will pass, nothing stays the same, change is the natural order of life, death and spiritual evolution...

BTW, excellent song, its one of my favorites!

...which I have enjoyed but do not need to read again. Mentally, I close the book, but I appreciate the time I spent with it.
