the alien speaks again - by Mithrandir
"I am afraid that cannot be, dear Sheila Rudabaga. You must leave your distinguished and brilliant friends behind and face this great adventure alone," replied the blobbish alien who was surprisingly called Mithrandir. As he spoke, his appearance suddenly jelled into a reasonable imitation of a blonde Pierce Bresnon, and his voice mellowed into the contralto tones of a young Pavoratti. "As for these things you require.., these are mere toys compared to the wonders you will encounter on this journey. You will soon laugh at yourself for your attachment to these primitive trinkets." The handsome alien moved to a wall, and waved his tentacular hand to reveal a porthole into space. "Look upon your world, Sheila Rudabaga, and know you are going somewhere very very very far away..." To her amazement, Sheila Rudabaga saw a small blue dot, within a host of other planets that she recognized as the solar system, fading away into oblivion...
