Having a "military presense" for sake of having one on the ground is just retarded. Why can't they place surveillance systems and take those people out of there, and when after you conduct a sweep, create a safe zone where people can be assured that they won't be bombed every other day?

Revamp the entire f*cked-up paradigm that has National Guardsmen doing the jobs that Marines and regular Army ought to be doing, for starters. IMO, the Guard should be doing what the Army is supposed to be doing right now, which is training the Iraqi Army for assumption of the defense of Iraq once America effects a full turnover of power to the Iraqi Government- oh, I'm sorry. That'll never be happening, since we're only there for the Texas tea... (returning B&W Soapbox to its previous position)
