...The NAACP "Laid to rest" The "N" word yesterday (7/10/07)...many people had already ceased to use the word...I guess now it's "official"...what other words should be "laid to rest" once and for all ? (please try not to be too graphic)

I have never liked this word, even when used to refer to female dogs. dear friend of mine once used it to describe herself, and I had to tell her that I don't know anyone attached to that word.

I didn't realize how many people are missing until newsmen started saying 'went missing' instead of "turned up missing", all the time!
'Went missing" sounds so peculiar!
But are we now 'stuck with it'?! Who decides what is 'official' and what is not, anyway!?
Shall I go missing forthwith to warmer climes to escape the 'word nazis', perchance??
