Some grocery stores still give you the option of using paper or plastic bags. The grocery stores in my city only use plastic bags, which of course I recycle.
Which one is WORSE for the environment, paper or plastic?

Plastic can't provide oxygen to the environment. I'm kinda touchy about breathing-related issues these days.

It depends on how you use it. If you have a dog, plastic is better and paper is worse. Also, I like trees.

I'd say plastic because we use more oil to produce it and oil cannot - at least anytime in the near future be reproduced, whereas we can always grow more trees to make more paper.

Plastic never goes away. Well, almost. Day after day, we drive past that tall tree with two plastic bags (white ones) hanging from the tallest branches.

When we deplete all of the 'oil', will plastics be no more?

Paper is worse! It's made out of trees while plastic is recycled into other plastic?

So ofcourse, always get plastic, and re-use it. You can save your plastic bags and use them for things too!
