i don't think america would ever want to take over, but i do think that a large war will errupt from one communist/semi-communist country trying to spread communism. They're just waiting untill we and or eruope (the capitalist heavy hitters) are weak.
In the end, i think communism and capitilizm will co-exist in a new system in 50 or 60 years where at smaller levels communism protects the life quality and overal equality of the average citizen, and capitilist ideals drive the larger corperations and orginizations to promote competitveness and overall progress, and hopefully this, or something else will take the place of the failing communisim and capitilistic systems.
I like the human race, Also I think that the war would be won by neither China nor America, lets face it, the big ones take on the big ones, thereby weakening one another. Now from an economical stand point. Canada would probably gain control of the US, then would stop the war and would be a big power. At least until we got rid of our military for some health care and school systems and the such. Then of course places like China would be pretty smashed, and so they would take time to reform. In the end by the time someone could challange the new Canada/USA they would have taken over (politically and the such) Cuba, Mexico, South America, and maybe Iceland. Then its called like Canuba Americanos
or some such thing. Then we all hear this big boom and it turns out some little crap ass country has been hoarding nukes or some stronger weapon and set em off, killing us all utterly and cause mass destruction illness and death and then theres these mole people who start to take over the few remaining cities, and we have to begin rediscovering technology to beat them, only they are actually a sub species of humans and are more advanced and so we become slaves to the mole people!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA and so, as you can see, in any war like the one mentioned only the mole people could win.
