I asked "why don't they just call the cops?" My bro replied: "because they're all Mafia guys." That brought up an interesting question: given the way the law is set up, it's kinda biased against women when it comes to domestic abuse cases. One woman in Canada described her situation: "He's standing over my bed with a pipe, so I call the cops. He's out of jail in two weeks, and sneeks into my bedroom at night with a pipe over my bed. I call the cops. Two weeks later, he's at it again. What am I supposed to do?" So if you felt that the law was inadequate, what steps would you take? Would you go threaten this guy yourself?
