DO YOU FAULT THE NASA ASTRONAUTS FOR DRINKING AND FLYING ?

I was shocked and appalled when I heard that some astronaut were (or may have been) intoxicated prior to space missions and were blasting off while under the influence...that seems very dangerous to me but then, when you think about why they may "need" a little something to "calm" their nerves it just made me reconsider...what are your thought on this ?

They need to calm their nerves
No "liquid" launch
No alcoholic beverages in space
Maybe a beer or two
Only one blunt before blast-off
As long as they're not the pilot
No flying high when flying high

These guys ought to know better! What if they go up loaded, have a fender bender with a flying saucer and cause a cosmic incident? Don't they have any idea what insurance claims would be like to handle?

Idiots. A disgrace to themselves and their country. They sully the memory of all the great astronauts before them - many of whom died to further the exploration of space.

They shouldn't and they should have known better.

But then I've never been in their shoes. Leaving the earth in a 25+ year old shuttle, I'd imagine I'd want a drink myself.
