When I was a kid, my dad always made sure that we had a huge sandpile in the back yard that my brothers and I used for playing with our Matchbox cars for hours and hours at a time. Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face!
I'm trying to think of a politically correct way to say "smear the..." Probably the closest term is "Murder ball". Its when one person gets the football (American) and everyone else tries to tackle that person. Repeat. Repeat.

We used to play jacks all the time in school. Usually it was just me and some other girls. But there was this one boy would would join in all the time and just kick our asses at the game.

My favorite as a kid. We used to play it in the street on cool Autumn nights. I miss Autumn RIGHT NOW. I miss Mother May I whenever I think of it.
I remember the last time we played it. I went home thinking I could go for another game. I would have got all sentimental if I had realized I would never play it again. All those kids moved away and there was no kids my age left to play it with. The I got jobs babysitting, and then a real job, and that was the end of my cchildish evenings.
And, of course, hot wheels and matchboxes (the cars, not the matches. Burning stuff might have been fun though, maybe I missed out!
