This is an age old question. It often seems that more bad things happen to good people than bad things to bad people. What I have learned is that things as they appear now (bad things happening to good people) do not always end up that way. Sometimes really bad things stay the way they are though or even get worse. I have tried to learn from people who have experienced unimaginable horrible things and they responded to it. People such as Viktor Frankl ("Man's Search for Meaning). What often seems to be the key is how you respond to them rather than searching for the reason. At least this has worked best for me.

Hope things go better for your family.

That's even worse than what happened to my family, which is bad enough. That's all very sad.
Voted : IMO...
Proof that Deity needs to be brought up on charges. Willful child neglect.

I'm so sorry, ABC. Please try to be strong, and remember the good things. I know we're all sending positive thoughts and prayers to you. If you ever want to call, you know my number.

I really don't know what to say. I just wish you guys well.
There are 6600 million people in the world..! With that large a number, it is inevitable that some bad things will happen to some good people.. There are many things in life that we have little or no control over: other people's decisions or actions, weather, earthquakes, tidal waves, accidents, wars, onset of diseases, and many other things..! No God is harming us or punishing us.. That is illogical.. General patterns may be fairly predictable, but specific occurences within the patterns are not necessarily predictable.. Life is not always what you might call 'fair', but people must certainly react and adjust to circumstances as they happen to the best of their ability.. (-:
