Voted : the naacp is wrong
listen to these phonies --- On Monday, Tony Taylor, a co-defendant in the case, pleaded guilty in Virginia to federal dogfighting conspiracy charges in a plea agreement with prosecutors. Purnell Peace of Virginia Beach and Quanis Phillips of Atlanta face similar charges and are scheduled for trial Nov. They remain free without bond. White plans to contact Vick to see what assistance the Atlanta NAACP chapter can offer. White predicted that public opinion may worsen in the wake of Taylor's plea deal. Until then, he said he would keep an open mind and encouraged others to do the same. Georgia NAACP President Edward Dubose thanked Vick for his community service and the money and excitement he has brought to Georgia as a Falcon. Dubose said Vick is being prosecuted in the court of public opinion before he has had a chance to defend himself. "We're not condemning bad behavior, but Michael Vick is innocent until proven guilty," Dubose said.

They'll pick and choose their battles every time. Just do what I do, Kev. *Ignore them*.
they may be political truth, but i want to know if you think they're right or wrong. a group can be political and be right, so in my view there is a great distinction.
All organizations, whether it's The NAACP, ACLU or any other, should be consistent and urge public restraint toward anyone before he or she has their day in court. Isn't that the foundation of the justice system, "Innocent until proving guilty?"
^proven guilty

Vick should be treated fairly, although I don't think he'll like it. For some people, fairness would hurt.
Voted : the naacp is wrong
I think he is entitled to due process, but to excuse him just based on his skin pigment is just atrocious. NAACP sounds more and more like the Klan. Race based organization doesn't belong in our country, period.
Sorry for failing to answer the question, Kev. I think they're right in calling for us all to recognize the concept of "innocent until proven guilty", no matter how badly it may look for Vick. Personally, I believe the man's as guilty as Original Sin. He should be glad that I can't be anywhere near a jury.
believe me, I'm TOTALLY into the "innocent until proven guilty" stuff! But I also saw video of the mangled dogs being rescued from his property and pictures of his kennels and the doggie grave yard.. there's no humane way that that many dogs died so fast. Sorry y'all.

There should be "fairness" in all trials before a jury. I predict Vick will get the same fairness that O.J., Kobe and Jacko got.
