But if a company is going to hire customer service personnel from there, they should make sure their English can be understood.

I just got off the line from tech support and I couldn’t understand a word he was saying, I got so frustrated I said forget it and hung up the phone.

Give me a break, damn, they are telling us sensitive things to do with our computer.

My American express credit card uses an indian call centre, and It's exactly the same trying to sort shit with them.

Do as I do,Larry, politely tell the person, no disrespect to them, but you can't understand a word they are saying, and request to speak to someone who can speak and understand the English language.

You still get an Indian on the line, but one with a high school diploma. :o)

ever notice how they try so hard to sound american? and their names! i mean come on, there are more people named mary, john, paul or susan in india than in the usa or england. get real indians.

It's not they don't know English..They know English very well but main problem is accent..I'm an Indian and when I first moved to Britain, I didn't understand even a work they speak..smae like you don't understand what we are saying..

to britvic55, they are not the one with high school diploma..minimum criteria to get into a call center in India is graduation..they are well educated..

to Kev24, then why the hell your company come to our country to operate a call center? tell your MNC not to come to my lovely country..we don't need you..
