SHOULD THERE BE AN ABORTION TAX?

[+] ballot by JohnnyReb
ACTIVE Tue Jul 31, 07 - Wed Jul 30, 08

Hey us drinkers and smokers have been paying a "sin tax" for years. Now,if i have to pay a special tax to drink liquor or buy ammunition then why is there no tax to suck a developing fetus out of its womb?

I mean really, what kind of society hates smokers worse than baby-killers? wtf happened to this country in the last 30-40 years that made this accepted thinking? The ACLU will defend abortion but not a persons right to smoke? At least smokers kill themselves and not their children unless of course they smoke while pregnant, which is bad...unless they're going to abort anyway and then i guess its okay??? damn i'm so confused

To get back to my question...should there be a specific tax for abortion. Maybe it could be used to fund sex ed classes.

yes
no
depends on the reason for the abortion
We'll let women decide that...

Why not? If it's done after about 16 weeks it feels everything anyway right? That's when the nerves are developed and when most women decide if they should keep it or kill it right?

Not me, i kept all mine, but my husband is neutered046

for one thing, drinker and smokers have health problems that society has to pay for.

if anything, people who have abortions should be given a "credit" for not burdening the society for the care of an unwanted human being... say about $100k?

something to think about.

"The ACLU will defend abortion but not a persons right to smoke?"

A tax does not mean that there is no right to smoke.

"At least smokers kill themselves and not their children unless of course they smoke while pregnant, which is bad...unless they're going to abort anyway and then i guess its okay??? "

Abortion is NOT a form of birth control. What about fetuses that are created as a result of rape or incest? And if your daughter got knocked up by her bf, you don't want her to ruin her life, do you?

I can understand the frustration that many have towards women who just use abortion as a form of birth control, or to women who merely have children as a way to sustain themselves through welfare.

When a group like "Zero Population Growth" politically corrects-up it's name to "Population Connection", combined with the current rabid global climate change blame game, I have a suspicion that a sinister covert plan is already in the works waiting to be staged.

After all, Dick Cheney didn't build that secret bunker for nothing.
