It might have been more of an accident it seems. Since he says he didn't know it was an officer, but either way, how stupid. He has to do community service or pay a fine over a water balloon! The officer needs to take a joke, if it was actually a joke. If he's just throwing water balloons at people to make them mad then i can see the officer maybe being pissed and giving him a warning, but battery? Hmmm
No, would you want someone to throw a water balloon in the window of your car, hitting you in the head? I'd be pissed too.

But cops have to protect their reps, you know. If one person lobs a baloon at one, then another will, and respect is lost.
"Balloon", please. Pardon the misspelling.

Throwing a water balloon at someone you don't know was wrong plus he picked the wrong car so maybe in the future they won't do that sort of thing...your grandmother could have been that car...it could also have an effect on the electronics or a cell phone in the car...
"We are aware of the situation, and any team discipline will be handled internally,"? What's wrong with a public trial for assault? or are they allowed special treatment, because they can throw around a pigskin? unbelievable. I bet they attend dog fights and strangle small animals too. we should treat assholes like assholes they are.

What matters is that he did it on the road, and made it more dangerous for everyone.
