Have you ever been friends with two people who were enemies? Did one ever try to talk trash about the other, and try to get you believing them? What do you do in situations like this? Were you ever the victim of such "trash talk" yourself?

I've been friends with people who were enemies of each other.
I've been the victim of trash talk by an enemy who was a friend of a friend.
I *am* friends with people who are enemies of each other
it depends how you define friend. it's hard to be close friends with enemies

Voted : I've been the victim of trash talk by an enemy who was a friend of a friend.
It really hurt that my friend would believe these things about me too, as none of it was true at all. I don't consider her much of a friend anymore.

Voted : it depends how you define friend. it's hard to be close friends with enemies
but, then again, it sounds like you're describing my family dynamic. I'm everybody's friend in my family of origin.
