Wouldn't you think that commericals for hearing aids or hearing clinics would be louder than regular commercials?

You would think so
What?
Commercials are already too loud

Voted : What?
About ten years ago, I met up with my grandparents in Cincinnati where I went them on a one or two hour boat cruise down the Ohio River. The first thing I noticed was that it was mostly senior citizens on the boat and the second thing I noticed was that they were playing Frank Sinatra music REALLY loud. I complained to my Grandma about the loud music and she says "I can hardly hear the music." And then Grandpa says "What, they're playing music?" *sigh*

But what I have noticed, many people think because a person is old, they have a hearing problem, which is not necessarily true, I always test , speak in normal voice at first if they don't hear, I raise it.

I agree with Mojo about your story.

although after thinking about it, if the commercials for hearing aids were loud enough for a person with hearing problem to hear, they might not realize they need a hearing aid, probably speaking in low voice would sell the product better.
