Voted : Both!
Never allow yourself to fall into to lockstep with conformity. If everyone else is stirring their tea clockwise stir your's counterclockwise. If they start stirring their's counterclockwise then get a cocktail shaker and mix your tea up in that. Or, better yet, just drink some cocoa instead. Only in this way can we ever hope to break the neverending cycle of monotony and mediocrity that plagues our society.
