IF SOMEONE IS UNHAPPY

[+] serious ballot by Kev24
ACTIVE Fri Aug 10, 07 - Mon Aug 13, 07

got this idea from another ballot.

if you were unhappy in a forum or discussion group either live or on-line, after a while, wouldn't you just leave?

every group i've been involved in always has a couple of malcontents. peeps who are never happy and always complaining and always whining "it's not fair!" most times they're just the continually unhappy few who have a beef wher ever they go.

when i had an issue with lcd, he's was cool about it but it reached a point when he said "so leave if you want." it pissed me off at the time, but seriously, he's right. if you don't like it, then just go -- that applies to any group and i'm not even just saying b&w.

i belonged to a gay mens group that had an on-line and in-person componet. me and 2 other guys started to not like the direction so we voiced our views. cold reality was most everyone else was just fine. end result? we left. why stick around if you're not happy and just make everyone else unhappy? agree?

totally. if people don't like it, there'e the door
disagree. malcontents are amusing and should stay to annoy

it astounds me when people fail to realize that if you're on a place like this, it's not a democracy. i get the feeling some people think they have unalienable rights or something. why? we don't pay to be here. you don't like it, no one's stoping you from taking a break to hitting the bricks. i heard that phrase hittin' the bricks in a movie and always wanted to try it out. seemed like a good fit. 112

it's fun to watch how people act when they're mad though, that part's pure Entertainment sometimes!

If it's not my site and I'm not involved in some way in it's running, I leave.

If it's a site that I work on and dedicate my time to helping out with, I stay. Instead of running away when I don't like how things are going, I stay and try to make changes if I feel the site is worthy of improvement.

During the last two serious cyberquakes we had here, I was pretty damn close to packing my satchel and moving on. I'm still packed, and I'm not involved in any of the upsets. This just isn't the site I first plugged into.
