Dad used to call breakfast "brezduhvuhduhgusss", to the morning he preferred the word "gloaming," eggs were "eggalinas," a skunk was a "polecat" or a "Poland Cat," and there are several other "dadisms" which I remember fondly. I have nothing else with which to associate them. I've heard no one else call these things this. Did he invent these things, or have you heard someone else speak in a similar fashion? Gosh, I miss my dad. This month he's been gone for 15 years. I have known people who seem to invent words. I invent words. These sayings were unique to your father.
