Ironic isn't it that the greed of the white man is the common factor?
Gambling addiction effects people of all races. That being said I may feel guilty if I won so much at one of those places that they had to shut down.

it benefits mob operations that are hired to run the casinos more than it benefits the "indians".
and I think it's an outrage that 1/64th indians are getting free checks each month, rather than learning to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
if that money went for better education opportunities it would be one thing. but "free cash handout" I think will have more detrimental efffects down the road.
but that's just my opinion - I am sure those who get the checks will have a differing opinion.

LCD, I find it rather odd that someone such as yourself who claims to be against bigotry often displays such stereotypical and uninformed views of Native Americans. Nearly every time a topic like this comes up, you demonstrate the complete opposite. In fact, your comments (such as the one above) are quite ignorant and offensive. And you do it time and time again... remind you of anyone?
And... why the hell do you care? You are all ok with illegal immigrants streaming over the border but you are for some reason against the original and real owners of the land from making a living in the way they see fit.
I'll point out on this ballot like I have to you on many others. Native American "reservations" are in fact sovereign nations. Its none of your business what they do or who they pay. I don't tell you how you should live your life so stop telling me and my people how to live ours.

Given the track record of casinos, my guess is that some group other than native Americans are reaping the rewards of these bandits.

Myself I think what they want to do on their reservations should pretty much be their own business.It's the perks of dual citizenship that are questionable.

It's their reservations, it's their way of taking care of their own people without tax payer handouts, so let them do what they want.
I'm not going to sit around and play Momma and tell them how to run their lives. I think it's pretty insulting and degrading to do so. Not to mention hypocritical seeing how so much of us would go on a tirade as soon as someone else started telling us how to live and make money.
