Voted : Depends on the severity of the abuse
For the worst, life in jail with no paroll. If a 16 year old and an 18 year old think they're in love, no penalty. In between there should be escalating penalties.

It depends. There's good people who get caught just swatting their kids on the butt in the wrong place at the wrong time and it gets overexaggerated by a holier than thou witness. Then there's people who deliberately beat their kids till they're black and blue and lock them in closets.

I'd say having the children taken away and jailing the parents for as long as possible would be fitting for the most severe cases.

^ i agree with you, i was thinking "ABUSE" like the real abusers that beat the crap out of their children. One couple i read about on the news tortured 5 foster children by keeping them in the closets, using cattle prods on them and pulling their toenails out with pliers. The name of that couple is John and Linda Dollar...real "great" people 087

I watched a lifetime movie about this girl that was abused, it was *so* sad...the girl had iron burn scars all over her back...i can't imagine the pain that girl went through.
