Man, I can't stand those closed ballot choices that are either "I agree with you" or "I don't agree with you because I'm stupid". Somehow, they're worse than the "Yes, or yes" ones.

Yes, those ballots are pretty stupid. The makers of those ballots think they're so clever, but they're not. We've probably all thought of that idea at some point or another; most of us, however, realize that it's stupid to ask someone a question and not let them speak their opinion unless it reflects the our own.

Typo... unless it reflects our own. (Omit "the".)

whoa whoa whoa. I do that ALL the time, fairly. Yes/No is my system. If you let people add choices they'll just run you over with stupid meaningless ballot choices.
In some cases, such as with yes/no questions, limiting ballot choices is a good idea. However, we're referring to ballots where the only choices are "Yes" and "Definitely" or "Yes, I agree with you" and "No, I'm an idiot." If you simply ask a yes or no question and have a simple "Yes" as one answer choice and "No" as the other, then it'd probably be in your best interest to prevent users from adding other ballot choices.
