Karl Marx was brilliant. Just not the people who implemented his ideas...

Voted : Both. But better at criticizing than at creating a better system
Marx had some valid critiques of mid-Victorian capitalism, but his "solutions" were absurd, and his later followers often monsters. If I looked at his writings from a purely Pragmatic (capitalization intentional), I could say that, due to the results, it might have been just as well if he'd just shut his furry trap.

He was a very odd man with some superb ideas. If people could live up to those ideas, the world PROBABLY WOULD be a better place. Sadly, not even Marx himself could live up to them. :(

I just don't understand how you can have an economic model without a political model. And it doesn't work, because someone always controls access to the good and services
