I've always found it quite embarrassing that we were the only country who couldn't figure it out. Third-world countries had less trouble converting than us, and I think that it spoke volumes about our education system (at the time, at least.)

It took me about 300 seconds to figure out the metric system, and that was when I was in 3rd grade. It's taken the rest of America over 1 gigasecond and counting.
