One of my inlaws just paid $2,500 for a '95 van that he bought on ebay. So he takes a bus from south Texas to Florida to pick it up. It has a mechanical problem after he gets it, so he had the seller to fix it for him while he stayed in a hotel for an unplanned night. Then drives the van back to Texas, almost 24 hours without stopping.
Can someone say "idiot" seeing how you can look in any classified paper here and find the same thing just as cheap? And without having to hop a bus to Florida and drive the thing back.
funny, I just bought a car this weekend.
drove 300 miles into california to pick up. went to see my folks along the way.
I got a real good deal, and was smiling ear to ear all the way back.
yes, and I bought it sight unseen :)
