The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency did a study more than two years ago proving that diacetyl, which creates the buttery flavor in popcorn, caused popcorn lung in dozens of employees in popcorn plants. The study wasn't released because popcorn manufacturers said the study would be bad for business.

You can be pro-business and still be pro-people, pro-environment, pro-health care, etc. They aren't necessarily contradictory. Having a strong economy enables the other things to become possible to achieve.

Businesses need to be treated fairly but health/pay of workers and the hazards they face should be more closely monitored and rules enacted and enforced as needed...
