POOR PEOPLES MARCH ON THE STATE HOUSE!
October 26! Meet at greyhound bus station on Gervais Street at 5:00 we will march from there to the State House
The policies in this government have been made to keep the poor even poorer and the richer even richer. We live in the richest country in the history of the world and many homeless people are forced into run down buildings and cars and homeless shelters.
I am asking everyone to fight this injustice by fighting non- violently in a act of public defiance against this governments oppression of the homeless. A campout on the statehouse this will be done without a permit. We are not asking the cops to detain us but our detainment will bring more attention to the cause of the poor. I am not asking for you to be arrested, anyone may leave at anytime.
Clothing food and drinks will be provided. Let’s bring the issue of poverty to them by camping outside of the statehouse and showing them the poor will not be oppressed any longer! Until the state officially announces we have a massive homeless problem in Columbia.
