Oh indeed capitalism has helped Brazil, and it will most-likely continue to do so. The trickle-down effect has always taken a long time to occur (every single first world nation took a LONG time for it to occur significantly), but it does occur nonetheless in nations that pursue liberal economic policies. I used to be a socialist, however, upon constant exposure to facts, empirical evidence and a reality that contradict socialism's arguments make me side with liberal economics. Actually caring about what will actually work best to help people's lives should be more important than clinging to an idea because it sounds nice in theory and one stubbornly wants to stick with it because of ego. I urge the socialists out there, and I mean this with all due respect: please reconsider your stance.

I'm still waiting for the trickle-down effect to show any results here. I look up and all I see is a big dick flopping in the breeze.
