Voted : Cutting that person out of your life
Life is too short to waste your time on people like that. Hopefully they'll eventually realize what they've been missing.

Sounds strange. I would put some distance between them and me for awhile, and wait and see.

you can't control what other person thinks. I would just let them be whatever they want to be, I wouldn't necessarily "cut them" out of my life, since I have reconciled with many who were on bad terms with me and they turned out to be great friends.

Untie them and send them on their way

I have had 'Rivals' become close friends in my live and the same thing is true going the other way. (remember, I've been divorced twice).
Voted : Grief
I'd probably spend years of my life trying to figure out what I did wrong...

Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. - Dr. Seuss
Voted : Forget about it: get on with your life.
Some times those types of people are best left out in the cold. If you can't figure out what you could have done, if anything, it's better to just ignore them.

Go on about your life and try not to worry about it. Feeling any bit of anger or worrying about it too much is not worth it. Don't give them power over you by dwelling on it. If you did nothing wrong, it's ultimately not your problem. Let them wallow around in the feelings that they're trying to make you feel. If they're good enough friends, they'll come back around sooner or later.
Another thing, I despise the "if you don't know what you did, that's an even bigger problem" attitude that some people have, it's extremely arrogant and self-righteous. If people are that upset about something, why can't they be direct about it? You're better off without them.
Thanks for all the advice. I'm having a tough time dealing with it, but your words help.
