IS FLUORIDE ADDED TO THE DRINKING WATER WHERE YOU LIVE?

[+] ballot by Grapost
ACTIVE Tue Oct 09, 07 - Wed Oct 08, 08

Fluoride has been added to public drinking water in some states for 50 years or more to help prevent tooth decay. And it has worked quite well.

However, some people argue that the government is shoving medicine down peoples throats against their will.

Those against it claim the government has no right
to put medicinal ingredients in public water. And that it should be each person right to decide what medicine they choose to use to prevent tooth decay.

Fluoride has never been proven to cause any negative health effect.

So is the Drinking Wate where you live fluoridated on not and do you think it's a good idea?

Flouride in water does indeed have some negative health effects. It is one of the causes of excessively tall children (it does something funky to the way bones form in SUSCEPTIBLE chidlren). My parents' doctor told them this.

Fluoride should not be in drinking water and it Has been proven to have harmful effects in some studies...it's interesting to note all of the studies that found it to be "the magic bullet" was done by people (initially) who wished to sell it to the municipalities...with so much more information available, you should do a little research on it, chk out fluoridealertdotorg for starters...it may not even be a good idea to have that stuff in toothpaste...when in doubt, leave it out...

I'm 40 and still have 31 teeth.

Both of my parents wore dentures when they were my age, so I have no complaints.

Yes it has. Lots of times. Lots of harm. It's a cumulative poison.

When I lived in New York. The had Fluoride in water. Where I am now, in Pennsylvania, it is NOT. My daughter gets a prescription from the pediatrician for vitamins with fluoride.

And again I get to boast.. That I am 44 yrs old and I never had a cavity. Ever.
