worst : WORST HOME RENOVATION TASK?

We are in the process of ripping down 2 layers of wallpaper, then cleaning off the paste. The paste removal is one of the worst jobs I've ever been involved in. Painting will seem a dream after this.

Please describe your worst home renovation nightmare jobs.

removing wallpaper
painting ceilings
tearing up wall-to-wall carpeting
renovating hardwood floors
removing lead paint
plugged up sewer line and toilet replacement

We put in hardwood floors, and found a crack in the foundation underneath. The floors looked great, though.

My brother-in-law had his entire house gutted. He had it done by professionals. They took all the sheet rock and nails out leaving just the wood frame. He did all the restoration by himself except for the taping he had someone do that that really knew how to do that.
