quiz : I THINK I MET AN ANGEL IN DISGUISE [+] ballot by LCD ACTIVE Thu Oct 18, 07 - Fri Oct 17, 08 so yesterday, I was sitting at macdonalds at lunch (I went off my veg diet - that's for another ballot) and I see this guy sitting near the curb. he has parked his wheelchair full of shopping bags, and he is sitting in a grassy area under a tree. He looks really dirty, sad and tired. I finish my meal, and about to go back. Now normally I see a bum on the street and it doesn't really bother me one way or another anymore, but something about this guy made me remind me of my long lost cat. After all, if a cat was injured and lying on the side of the street, people will call the shelter and get it some help. Yet this guy obviously have been living on the street like this for a while, and nobody gave him a second thought. He's not begging for money, so I doubt he is a druggie looking for the next fix, he has just fallen into the cracks, (I know how one can be in that situation - I was almost there about 2 years ago) and now he doesn't know how to get back up. so I went back to the counter and order 2 burgers, one for me and one for that guy. I walk toward him, and I can smell him 10 ft away. He actually looked frightened as I approached, probably thought I was there to get him to move along. I was gonna sit with him and eat, but I couldn't take the smell. so I just offered him the burger, and told him to have a nice day. He might have been a veteran, he had scars on his face and a damaged eye, and obviously someone dumped him on the street from some hospital, because he still had his wheelchair. But I am convinced he was actally an angel in diguise, guess why? he told me so he brought me luck he disappeared into thin air he took off all his clothes and danced around he threw the burger at my face I avoided an accident I didn't die of plague I didn't get fired for taking a long lunch Ballot #118921 : SEE RESULTS Comment: show your vote with comment?
