Whenever men are shown in a so-called 'bad light' as you asserted, it is in a comical way. The actor in question is supposed to be funny, and is respected for it. Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, blah. The fact that there is a lack of funny female characters displays that female comedians and comedy actresses are being undermined. So you have displayed that it is women being undermined. Not men.
Man, talk about a warped point of view. Do you always see everything in reverse of reality?
Voted : Not At All
But consider that even though the man is portrayed as a boob, he is always less attractive than the female, showing that even an ordinary looking dumb guy can get a beautiful smart woman...but NOT vice-versa. You would never see a stupid ugly woman paired with a hunky brilliant guy because then that would be empowering to real women, showing them they don't have to be perfect, right or beautiful to have a handsome smart mate. These ads are really against women, and the fact that they make men angry just adds to it. The makers of these ads know just what they are doing.
