Voted : No, I do not think they are related
of course not. They have been happening for a long time. They were happening before the word 'terrorism' was invented.
Voted : Yes, they could be relate
Might me. Might not be. But just because wildfires have been happening long before the word terroism was invented, does not mean that the tip this person provided was not real. Attacks on civilians and governments my rogue factions (e.g. the Barbarians that sacked Rome) were being carried out long before the word terrorism was used. It was still terrorism of a kind. Just saying that it could be possible.
*groans* :o)
Feds Join Arson Probe in California Blazes AP Filed Under: Nation News, Natural Disaster SAN DIEGO (Oct. 25) -- Federal agents joined the search for evidence in brush-covered Orange County hills where an arsonist is believed to have ignited one of the wildfires devastating Southern California. In San Bernardino County, a man suspected of starting a small fire was arrested and another man was shot to death by police after he fled officers who approached to see if he might be trying to set a fire. Wildfires, burning in seven counties, had destroyed about 1,500 homes and caused more than a half-million people to flee since the first blaze began late Saturday. At least two — in Orange and Riverside counties — have been linked to arson. Throughout the region, authorities stepped up patrols in hopes of preventing copycat fires and looting. In San Diego County, sheriff's officials have reported scattered instances of looting in fire zones. Two people have been arrested. Orange County officials converged on a remote area of bone-dry brush where a 19,200-acre wildfire has destroyed nine homes. They were aided by special teams from the FBI and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The federal government planned to send more agents from around the country to help with the probe. Investigators taped off an area they called a crime scene, took photos, collected evidence and recorded map coordinates, according to ATF Special Agent Susan Raichel. Authorities believe the fire had been set because they found three different ignition points within a short distance — a common sign of arson. So I guess it could be terrorism. Lest we forget that even domestic crimes are sometimes labeled "domestic terrorism."
Lol, it could may well be, it may not be too. The groan was a 'does the world need another conspiracy theory?' groan. :o).
I agree with patch. It could be, it might not be. Terrorism doesn't necessarily mean a big plan by Muslim extremists. Or even by a domestic organization. All it takes is somebody wanting to instill fear into people for whatever reason that strikes their fancy. And give it time, britvic. Give it enough time and we'll hear that Bush himself covertly went to California armed with gasoline and cigarette lighters.

I saw on the news Countdown (Keith Olberman) that those memos were four years old...but there's always the possibility, and there's always someone who might take advantage and try to increase the damage, or even take credit for what they did not do...
Memos 4 years old? Really? Anyway, looks like it was Arson if you read the news pieces I posted in this ballot. Not sure if you had the chance to read that news piece...from THIS October 25th :)
