There are two sides, but the bad is there. And extreme, at times.
When I'm running things, there will only be one nation, one people, one religion, one monetary system, one color for cars, limited choices for clothes, everyone will worship at the same time, on the same day and they will worship me. If they don't, I'll have them tracked and killed. :)
^ Are you running for president of Russia?
No, China :) But seriously, how great would it be if we were all just one nationality? One religion? If we all used the same money and if we all loyal to just one leader? It would be great. My idea would be to "encourage" everyone to come out of their homes at exactly the same time every day and on giant TV screens an image of the leader...me, would appear and everyone would chant and swear allegiance to me. Anyone who doesn't would be "removed." They would be classified as haters and who needs haters, right? The Leader would be the state, the religion, the very reason for your existence. :) Accept or die. Simple principle.
I'm serious by the way.

No, britvic, but he is stealing my platform.
Voted : Not
Absolutely not hate. A strong pride in who you are and where youre from is normal. Dont confuse nationalism with such things as nazism, it just isnt anywhere near the same thing unless you only see the world in extremes.
People will always subdivide naturally. There never will be just one race, one world government(although there are forces attempting just this) as long as there are different personality temperaments. This simplistic mindset is common among monstrous tyrants. Stupid people and people of poor character are responsible for the ills listed by the ballot poster, not nationalism itself.Nationalism among progressive people means a respect for differences we're shamed into ignoring.
