Retired William Andrews, 64, opened his front door with no clothes on to scare children away. But two girls, aged 14 and 10, wearing Halloween costumes called at his house in Burnley, Lancs, and the sight of him left them “frightened and uncomfortable.” He went inside to get money for the girls, but they went home and told their parents and police were called in, Burnley Magistrates‘ Court was told at yesterday‘s hearing. He told police he had been in the shower, but the girls told officers he was not wet. He also said he was trying to scare the children away because he was “constantly harassed” by children calling at his house. Andrews, who has no previous occasions, admitted a single charge of exposure on October 15.
