A little boy came home from the playground and told his mother that he heard some boys say things that he did not understand. The little boy's mom said you can tell me and I'll try to explain. The little boy said that a couple of boys in the playground used the words pussy and another boy used the word bitch. The mom told the her son that a pussy was a kitty cat and that a bitch is a female dog. And sent him on his way. Now the little boy is more confused than ever. After all, the boys on the playground didn't use those words to describe a cat or a dog. So he went to his dad and told him the whole story. The father told him to wait a second and he would explain the whole thing. The dad left and came back with one of his Playboys, he open it up to the centerfold, and then with a big magic marker drew a circle on the center fold. And told his son. That everything inside this circle is a pussy. And everything outside the circle is a bitch.
The reason for my argument is that sooner or later children are going to hear swearing anyway, either from their parents, kids at school, or otherwise.
The reason I don't think language should be censored on children's television is because the words themselves aren't dirty, we just associate them as dirty.
If there are no taboo words, then words that are currently taboo for children (which would no longer be) would not be as big of a deal, and children would not be as quick to say them as soon as they hear them...
