The Bush Administration is acknowledging the need for stronger government policing of imports and abandoning their stance (anti regulatory policy) after recalls this year of pet food, substandard tires, and toys imported to this Country, 2 trillion dollars worth of goods from about 150 Countries. Do we need a surge in inspectors...fanning out around the Globe...on the front lines...to check and insure the goods we are recieving on our shores are safe to use, eat, or play with ? After all, if we find then faulty over there, we can prevent them from being shipped over here...plus we save money on all that shipping...
