suppose that stuff DOES belong to OJ.

prosecution argues that even if it BELONGS to OJ, if you try to get it back using (perceived)force, it's armed robbery.

so if I find that someone is breaking into my house, and walking out with my laptop. and I chase him with a baseball bat to get it back, it's armed robbery?

yes

Because that's *your house*. OJ did his work in *someone else's hotel room*. If he truly believed that it was hs property, taken from him illegally, then he should've done what we all have to do.

File a police report.

Sure, they may have been decades in getting around to investigating it, but hey...justice is a killer, too.

It can't be armed robbery. How can you rob your own stuff?

Charges for being armed or threatening behaviour maybe, but I wouldn't say it was robbery.
