it's so hard to find a good service these days, today I waited 5 extra minute to see the manager to complement the employee.

I wonder if it helps them, or is it like in one ear and out the other?

All those steak house chains, like Outback, Lone Star, Logan's, Texas Road House just to name a few. Have service staffs that must go out of the way for the customer. Sometimes you can tell that they are not genuine with their courteousness.
