DO YOU EVER TIRE OF BEING POSITIVE?

Ok, I consider myself a fairly positive person. Always looking for the bright side of the most negative thing. I enjoy those posters that inspire, and I've bought my share. Emotionally building people up rather than putting them down IS important; but, then again, I do have days when I think, "What's the use anywayz?" I think it's about that time of year. I need my annual fix of James Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life." What do you think? When everything is down, and your bumbling Uncle comes in saying he lost the money he was supposed to deposit at the bank, (if you've seen the movie referenced, you should have an example in your head). Or, maybe you identify with that "bumbling Uncle." Do you ever tire of being POSITIVE? Do you think it's always good to immediately pull out of that frame of mind? What do you do to accomplish this?

Yes, I tire of being positive.
No, I never tire of being positive, it rejuvenates me.

Yes, it's hard to be positive in this world. Life is just an ongoing series of pain and struggles, and what little joy and comfort we have is, at best, fleeting. And ,in the end, the whole thing is ultimately futile. We, and all we care for, ultimately decays and dies, and life is so brief and so hard that it's hardly worth living at all. Still, we stuggle onward, and try to see the good in it. It could be worse. For example, imagine what life would be like if we had our noses located an inch above our rectums.

It does drain on me. The people about me (which I laughingly am forced to label as "family") constantly drive me into the ground emotionally, then dare to say that they're "concerned" for me because I "seem withdrawn" (when I'm doing nothing more than removing myself from their scarring presences). I try to give good vibes to others, but it's hard to give when the needle's on "E".

Fantastic ballot, BTB.

however, in the end, it's not nearly so draining as being unhappy and depressed. so sometimes i indulge in a little despair, but i try not to linger there too long.

^ I agree light, I have times of despair and find it much more tiring than trying to find the good. I'm amazed by the Universe, when I feel down, I just look at the night skies. Sounds kinda corny I suppose, but it works for me.

As I am seldom positive about anything, I'm never bothered by the need to maintain a useless facade.

Life is not long enough to spend being a Negative Person as is NoxiousSpore, who will find a way to delete - once again - this comment.
