HOW MANY PETS IS TOO MANY?

My husband wants a Bengal cat and a doberman puppy. We already have two cats and a fishtank full of corals and fish...some people have lots of pets but it seems like two many. And i want to get a Ball Python soon...but i'm afraid my cats will attack it, or it will attack them!

Where should people draw the line...or is there a line?

If all the animals get along then go for it!
Too many is more than 3, not counting fish
2 cats and one dog is perfect
It's ok until it becomes a zoo?
People should draw the line at a cat and a dog, if that
The line should be drawn when you have more than you can take care of
ONE, unless you like animals to begin with

I could care less how many pets someone has. But the second that someone who has a lot can't afford vet bills, food, or starts letting their house or property deteriorate because of the pets, it's time to find new homes for them.

I've got four dogs and 8 cats myself. But they all get cared for very well, all are spayed or neutered with the exception of two cats, and they have plenty of land to roam around on. Four of them are actually ones that someone either dumped out or gave to me because they couldn't have them anymore.
