No, but it sounds fun. Call me a nerd, but I just like learning. Degree or not.

auditing a class? it's almost a requirment. I have seen some real bad instructors, thanks to those tenure system, you have people who have no idea how to teach trying to teach ... I remember this one class which was being taught by a Nobel Laureate, which was so bad that people dropped out in droves to sign up for the other instructor who was a 25 year old newly hired prof. Just because they are a brilliant researcher, doesn't mean they can teach. it's always a good idea to sit in before committing for a whole semester.

I don't mean just shopping around for professors LCD, I mean not registering for any professor of the class AT ALL, and not getting graded or credited for the class in any way. In this scenario, it wouldn't count towards your degree or anything like that, you're just sitting in on it purely for the education.

I always wondered about that Nuck. I'm not entirely sure why (though I have a good idea), but I'm almost wholely certain that my attendance for a "stolen" class would be better than my attendance is for the classes I am paying for. I think our current educational system is f*cktarded though, so w/e.
^well, then I guess no. although it's not a bad idea :)

Not unless you count buying older used textbooks.
