Deadly radiation. Terrible destruction. Suffering, sickness, famine, ruin. You need to survive, the human race needs to survive. Where do we go from here?

Live in a nuclear shelter for as long as necessary
Head for a safer part of the world
Leave Earth, live aboard ship until finding a new world
Be cryogenically preserved until Earth is normalized
Join the millions on the Moon or the Space Stations
Die with all the others as a gesture of unity
Slip into another dimension, safe haven
Hide out on a small island somewhere.
Stay in Melbourne?
Join the Navy
Cross your finger and hold your breath
build a halo around earth and live there

Go someplace that is very unlikely to be in contact with radiation and illnesses. In other words get away from all other humans.

Note to self: if water on ground has no life in or by it and it glows at night don't drink it.

That was my primary reason for attending the USNA. I went into subs as my first preference because, in the event of WWIII, all subs will rendezvous in Australia, where the radiation can't get to as quickly.

The first thing I would do is make sure that all the exit hatches on the government's bunkers are permanently sealed shut.
