Roger Clemens along with numerous others are in the mitchell's report about steroid use in the MLB.

Barry Bonds was recently indicted for lying under oath.

others are "denying vehemently" through their lawyers.

Isn't it about time the senate, rather than delaying actions and protecting those involved, call each and one of them and let them say UNDER OATH whether they took the steroid or not?

if they lie then, they would be in the same shoes as Barry.

question: is Congress protecting MLB and their interests, by not dealing swiftly and find the truth?

Voted : they are trying hard to let them off the hook
I can't recall which one of these stellar individuals it was but, when he was first accused of being on 'roids, MLB's clever response was to, the following season, redesign the baseball itself, so that it would travel father when hit. Their official explanation was that they were putting some excitement back into the game. My official explanation? They were already trying to ccver their a$$es.

When I was a child, I wanted nothing more than to play the game. After proving incompetent in every other organized sport, baseball became the one physical activity I could excel at. I wanted to play in the Big Show. My dream was to play for the Mets in the Subway Series, and become only the second player ever to knock one out of the House That Ruth Built.

Now, I'll never watch the game again.
