Kurt shot him self in the mouth with a 12" gauge while he was high on black tar heroin. I really love his music, but if you have the new compilation CD 'NIRVANA', then you will be familliar with the first track "You Know You're Right' which suggests that he was pretty depressed at the time!! Poor Kurt- Nirvana could have gone even further with their sweet sound (if that's possible!!)

That is the best conspiracy theory I have seen yet.
Courtney Love may not be as irrational as she appears. She is a cold mastermind, who probably had her sights on Cobains vast fortune and fame from day one. Cold and calculating, like a snake... waiting for its prey.
