I know Catholicism and protestantism are both Christian religions, but as there are so many breakaway protestant religions I felt it necessary to distinguish the two from one another.

Islam is the world's fastest growing religion in the world to include within the U.S. I have read the Quran from the beginning to end as I have done so with the Bible and it did not have any influence on how I believe, it made for interesting reading however (I would say the same regarding the Bible after reading it several times).

I have not read the Quran. I have read parts of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Knowledge of their content has nothing to do with the fact of global terrorism.
